The purpose of the North Springs Theatre Community is to provide support to the students enrolled and/or participating in the various theatre programs at North Springs Charter High School, thereby furthering their appreciation of, education of, and participation in the theatrical arts.
North Springs Charter High School sends students to the best film, acting and technical theatre schools in the world! Our alumni are currently working in productions on Broadway and beyond, and in the upper echelons of the film industry worldwide.
From the traditional (The Wizard of Oz, Hairspray, James and The Giant Peach, Hamlet) to the wonderfully groundbreaking and risqué (Marat/Sade, The Producers, Urinetown, Bat Boy, & Rumors), to award-winning film submissions; the North Springs Theatre and Film Magnets do it all!
After participating in at least two North Springs shows, students are eligible for induction to the International Thespian Society. Our Thespians regularly participate in the Georgia Thespian Conference (ThesCon) and GTC (Georgia Theatre Conference), in addition to other competitions and learning opportunities.
Each year, our technical theatre students take part in the annual conference of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), part of the Association of Performing Arts & Entertainment Professionals. During this multi-day workshop-filled conference, they are exposed to the wondrous world of professional technical theatre!
